Located in Dallas, the American Airlines Center is the home for professional basketball and hockey in Dallas. In Victory Park, the venue opened in 2001, and has seen both of its main tenants, the Dallas Stars and Dallas Mavericks, have high levels of success while playing there. The AAC saw Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat come back from a 2-0 deficit to beat the Mavericks in 2006, while Dallas got their revenge on Miami in the 2011 Finals when they spoiled the first Finals appearance for LeBron James as a member of the Heat. The venue also was the home for a fight between two men who would end up being remembered as two of the most dominant heavyweights in UFC history, when Allistair Overeem and Fabricio Werdum squared off in a Strikeforce bout in 2011.
