About Westerman Tickets
Will Westerman, who performs under the mononym Westerman, is a British singer-songwriter born in London and currently based in Athens, Greece. He began in his early 20s playing the London open-mic scene, writing songs heavily inspired by folk artists like Nick Drake and Neil Young. As a child he sang in choirs and played saxophone; he taught himself guitar around age 15, and gradually moved from purely acoustic, folk-leaning work into more textured, atmospheric music. His early releases included the Call and Response EP (2017) and Ark EP (2018), which started to show that evolution in his sound, especially through collaborations with producer Nathan Jenkins (a.k.a. Bullion).
His debut full-length album Your Hero Is Not Dead dropped in 2020, recorded mostly between Southern Portugal and London, and was met with positive reviews. Tracks like “Blue Comanche,” “Think I’ll Stay,” “Waiting on Design,” and the title track demonstrated Westerman’s lyrical introspection, a sense of place and emotional complexity, and a willingness to marry subtle electronic textures with folk-rooted songwriting. Following that, his second album An Inbuilt Fault (2023) saw him pushing further: incorporating more live instrumentation, experimenting more with rhythmic and dynamic contrast, and working with co-producers like James Krivchenia of Big Thief. This album broadened his sonic palette, and also expanded his touring footprint in major markets including the U.S. and the UK.
Most recently, Westerman has announced his third album A Jackal’s Wedding, set for release on November 7, 2025 via Partisan Records. Much of it was written in Athens, and recorded at night over five weeks with producer Marta Salogni on the Greek island of Hydra. It reflects themes of transition, creative rediscovery, and reconciling conflicts between change and stasis. Alongside the album, he is embarking on a tour (Europe and North America) in support of A Jackal’s Wedding, with headline dates in cities like Brooklyn, Chicago, Atlanta, Toronto, etc. Also, the single “About Leaving” has been released ahead of the album with a video.
