My wife and I used Seat Geek for the first time last year we bought tickets for both nights of the Metallica concert in May in Nashville and we are outside of Chicago so it was a vacation we had to save for we bought the cheapest tickets and the day of because of production issues they moved us 5 rows from the floor great seats and they made it really right. Held across multiple venues throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn, the CBGB Festival featured performances from both legendary acts and up-and-coming bands. Artists like Jane’s Addiction, Devo, The Stooges and My Morning Jacket shared stages with fresh talent in clubs, parks and theaters across the city. The festival also hosted a range of talks, industry panels and film premieres — including music documentaries and narratives that captured the raw, rebellious ethos of CBGB’s history. It was a true celebration of the influence the original club had on generations of musicians and fans.
While the CBGB Festival only ran for a few years, it succeeded in reviving interest in the CBGB legacy and highlighting the ongoing impact of punk and underground music on modern culture. For fans of the original club, it was a nostalgic tribute; for new audiences, it was a gateway to discovering the roots of alternative music.
