About Burn This Tickets
The 2019 production of Burn This is the first-ever Broadway revival of Pulitzer Prize Winner Lanford Wilson’s drama of the same name. The original production debuted on Broadway in 1987, starring Joan Allen and John Malkovich. The case of the 1987 production won several awards, including the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play (Joan Allen) and the Theatre World Award (Eric Roberts). Burn This ran for over 400 performances in 1987 and has been revived off-Broadway both in the United States and in Sydney, Australia. The Broadway revival opens with Adam Driver and Keri Russell taking on the lead roles. A deep and emotional journey into the lives of four friends, Burn This follows their ups and downs as they come to grips with their shared tragedy and the direction their lives are headed. Juilliard alum Adam Driver is best known for his portrayal as the infamous Kylo Ren, in addition to his work on the HBO comedy-drama series “Girls”. Nominated for three consecutive Primetime Emmy’s, Adam Driver is a versatile actor who brings the Burn This character “Pale” to life. Driver is known to pull audiences into the story, connecting with fans as he has since his Broadway debut in 2010. Golden Globe winner (“Felicity,” 1999) Keri Russell steps into the role of Anna, carefully guiding the character through her emergence as an independent, self-confident woman as she explores her identity after the death of a close friend. Russell’s heartfelt portrayal of Anna is already generating buzz with critics and fans alike. While Russell made her off-Broadway stage debut in 2004, Burn This is her first on Broadway production. Burn This is directed by visionary Michael Mayer. In 2007, Mayer won the Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical for his work on “Spring Awakening,” which also won the Tony Award for Best Musical that same year. A veteran of the stage and screen, Michael Mayer has directed more than a dozen Broadway productions, several off-Broadway shows, a handful of films, and even a few operas. This multifaceted talent is has been bringing his own unique vision to the stage for more than 20 years, making the much anticipated Broadway revival of Burn This a must see for all. The Broadway revival of Burn This opened at the Hudson Theatre. The first previews started on March 15, 2019, with Burn This officially launching on April 16, 2019. Show days and times vary but Burn This typically shows Monday through Saturday at 8 pm, with matinees at 2 pm on Wednesday and Saturday.
